I am getting the mod fever now that spring weather will, hopefully, be here sooner than later.

I want to start looking at some additional performance mods, if they exist. Thats where the community comes in. I need your help shopping.
Some ground work.
I work in specifics. What I mean is, for this to be truly helpful to me, and possibly others, don't simply suggest poly bushings, give me part number or link to a site.
I don't want to do turbo or Giggle juice until I have a stronger trans. From what I understand, either may shred the stock trans.
I participate in street legal drags in the area so straight line performance mod suggestions are great. I also am starting club SOLO or autocross stuff so handling mods are much appreciated.
This is my daily driver.
I am a computer geek/network engineer by trade. I can do some minor bolt ons (PCM addition, CAI install) but thats it. I don't mind paying for a pro to install stuff. The piece of mind is worth it to me.
I am hoping to participate in some GP tour drive to ZZP this year. Its a thread on this or another board. If it requires going to ZZP or somewhere in MI to have, say, a trans installed, that might be an option.

Current mods in sig. I also have autolite xp plugs but can't remember off hand which ones. I also have STB bars front and rear.

OK, GO. And Thanks!

forgot to mention I already have HID conversions. Not a performance mod, per se.

Is the Magnaflow exhaust you have like this one from pfyc.com?

http://www.pfyc.com/pc/GP5902/04EXH/Mag ... 16726.html

If so, how is the sound? Does it really make the V8 sound good? Is there any interior drone with this exhaust? I have a Corsa on my 04 GP GT, and there is no interior noise, and it sounds good. Too bad I can't get one for the GXP.

i have the magnaflow catback....when i had the res. on there was a little more noise on the inside but it was anything terrible at all....it really wakes up the cars exhaust note and IMO is well worth it.

here are a few videos....the wind sucks in the first one.

x2. well worth it. I got mine from an online dealer recommended on another gp site. I got a discount for mentioning the site as well.

I was sort of interested in suspension mods. I know that you can get rear KYB AGX struts. What about poly stuff for the front to improve handling? Does anyone make a kit? Would this even benefit me for autocross?

You could start off with front and rear strut tower bars...I believe Don Rome made brackets to allow the GM ones to fit on the GXPs. I put a set on last spring with Don Rome's brackets and its probably the best handling mod for under $100

Already have them. Sorry. I need to add those to the list.

Anyone have SSC springs in their GXP?
