I wasn't injured nor was the deer killed out of this incident but the GXP got pretty banged up..

Damage done was all on drivers side.. hole on the side of headlight lens right over the side marker, fender, front and rear doors. All are being replaced and estimate was around $6575.52 for that claim. Also have a separate claim for the front bumper as I hit a snow bank in -25 degree temps this past January, that was estimated at around $1300 and will also be fixed at this time as well. Oh forgot to mention that the deer left a present for me to clean up after he had run away :/

Time for pics! as much as I hate seeing them..

No daytime pics of the side damage and the car is already in the shop.. my apologies

Yeah.. That sucks, but just so you have it on your conscience.. the deer is dead. They can't take a hit very well, even tho it may have walked away from the accident, I bet within 10 hour it died... Jerk. :)

Deer damage was one of my worst fears when I was driving to New York state during the late summer and fall. They would be feeding in groups along the roadside at dusk. The only time I like deer is when they're made into venison stew, steaks and Bambiburgers..Image Glad to see you're getting it all fixed up, looking forward to some after pics! ;-)

It's true, I see packs of them all the time chilling in fields no more than 20-30 feet from the road.

Sucks about the damage, but yea you can sleep better knowing there is a great chance the deer is dead.

Speaking of deers and their abundance, just today I was making a delivery and walking up a driveway which had a bend in it. I round the bend and I stop dead in my tracks. 10 feet in front of me is a deer standing in the driveway and we just lock eyes. After what seemed like 5 minutes he just takes off running back into the woods. I've never seen one that close before that wasn't dead. :D

I can't wait to see the pics when you get it back!

Guess I got lucky with my deer incident. Ran one over that way laying in the middle of the lane. It damaged the lower valance pretty good and left an awful odor. Other then that the car is fine.

What was the present that was left by the deer? Was that a joke in regards to the damage? Or did it sh*t itself upon impact? LOL
