Yeah I have a bare block, gasket kit and some bolt and stud sets... Going to slowly build it up to what I want. Still trying to decide whether to go with the blower or single turbo. I'm honestly not looking for more than 400 at the wheels it's going to be a daily driver. I should probably stop posting here now because I'm back to talking about the 3800 lol.

3800 is well capable of making that power with the turbo, its the transmission that cant at all.

gG turbo and put some money away for a new tranny when it goes. or build that up also. Everyone already has chargers, few have turbos. It's good to be different.

Oh I have plans for the trans. Setting money aside for one that I can build up as well. I know my 4T60-E would NEVER hold up.

Milestone!!!!! All is good, just been working A LOT. I just got hired by one of the brand new Firestone shops in Apex. What've you been up to??

I'm building everything up on the side while I keep my car on the road and making the transfer when I have things ready.

Still researching the majors differences between the L36 block I have put away and the L26 under my hood. Not too worried because I'm not swapping internals.

I'm thinking of boring it out .020...9.9 compression or 8.5? Obviously 8.5 would help my heads stay on and not turn once moving parts into one large paperweight lol, but I'm not going for 700WHP. North Carolina officially has the highest gas tax right know..I think.

I misread that so to change my response ..

The differences that I know of on those two are the upper intake ( possibly some minor differences in the lim) and I belive the newer motor should have powder metal rods. ( I think) those are the biggest things really
