Hi Guys

This has to be one of my most interesting proposals that I have ever sent or read.

I have a 2005 GXP.
The OEM set up is FRONT -> 18x8 REAR 18X7.

My old 97 GTP had the GXP rims…it looked good but the fronts were a bit offset due to the 8 inch rim,

The proposal -> In the sprit of being able to rotate my tires (Utopia) having 18x8 all around would be really cool.

I am pretty sure that there are some club members here that have the GXP rims on their 97-03 Gps.

Benefits -> I am willing to trade my rear two 18x7 set up for two 18x8 fronts.
The 97-03 owner would benefit as well as they would have the 18x7 all around and the offset would be better matched.

My rims are in MINT condition with NO curb rash at all.

Hoping i can locate a member that is local in Ontario CAN.

PS -> I will pay for the re-re of dismounting/mounting of all tires + buy lunch.

Sincerely

Frank

So you want to rears or fronts??

I may swap two with you.. I dont have tires on them now so shipping will be cheap..

I thought the 18x8 GXP wheels would not fit on the rear of the GXP due to the offset.

you do this and you will possibly lose some handling as well as some issues that may occur with Traction control and stability control. These were setup with the rim/tire combo that came with the car.

Thanks for the replies guys... PM SENT

ALso of note, there are a few members that have gone 18x8 all around...even some at 20x8 all around with no reported issues.

I am with the OEM suspension...and have heard that if you are lowered can cause issues..

Other than that i have not heard/read any members experiencing trac/stab issues..

Thanks for the heads up...will keep reading around to ensure..

The different for the front is because the fenders are wider on the GXP..

For 97-03 & 04+ you use 4 rears GXP wheels..

well if your not to worried bout the handling loss (note that im not sure how much of a loss it is) then let me know how it goes and if any issues that may come up cause i may do the same though i would keep the rears for the drag track.

The GXP fronts will rub if they are put in the rear, and you ever put anyting more than 50 lbs in the back half of the car. Yes this includes the rear seat, or trunk. Swap at your own risk...

Also, the guys running 18x8 or 20x8 on their cars, normally have a different offset than the factory off set for our GP's.
