Anyone has any tips on how to get rid of the superloud drone the Magnaflow CatBack
exhaust produces @ 2000-2500 RPM.

It's not so bad if if stick your foot into it hard, but the gas card can only take so
much of that.

Any suggestions?

I'm used to it but yeah its loud. IIRC one of the guys had put Dynomat in the whole trunk and that quieted it down a bunch

He is talking about a GXP so it isn't the 3800

I agree with you, the Magnaflow system sounds great when the exhaust velocity is higher (when you wind it up), but at low RPMs you get that booming resonance @ 1500-2500.

Anyone else try anything?

I guess I won't be getting that exhaust then. Glad someone wrote in about this. I checked with Corsa, and they don't make one for the GXP. I put one on my GT and it is perfect.

until you hear it yourself i wouldnt say it is goin to be to loud for you since everyone apparently has different definitions of loud....i really didnt think it was at all loud if you leave the res. on...i could hold conversations with people in the car and not have to raise my voice at all along with calls through my bluetooth that goes through my nav.....just my $.02

Did you have the tips replaced when you had the Magnaflows put on? I would assume so, but we all know what assumptions get us.

Make sure that the tips are sticking out far enough. I know that on other's GP's and on my Silverado, the exhaust was really droney ( if that's a word ) when the exhaust tips didn't stick out away from the car far enough. What would happen is the sound would hit the rear bumper, and sort of deflect back to the front of the vehicle, thus making you hear all of the drone. I personally think the factory tips don't stick out quite enough to get rid of as much drone as possible, but then again, with factory exhaust, it doesn't really matter.
