Anyone try to botch GTP mufflers on their GXP? I was looking for a cheaper alternative to a Magnaflow or the original crap exhaust. To me, they look almost identical. except the inlet is 1 7/8 instead of 2 1/4 like ours.

Thx for the reply. I know it might be a little restrictive (though not much). The sound should be ok, maybe not quite as throaty as the original or a magnaflow. But, I am on a budget and have to save wherever possible. This will cost a little over $200 compared to $550 for a Magnaflow. I'll let u know if it fits.

Is it just the muffs you need or the whole cat back? cause mufflers should only cost like a lil under 200 for a couple flowmaster 40 mufflers and i know those sound good on alot of cars.

Thx for the opinions guys! Iam just gonna wait til I can afford a Magnaflow catback instead of dinking around trying to hack mufflers on. Does everyone get the exhaust pipe gasket or can the original one be reused?

I was looking through the exhaust clips and I can't find any GXP clips. Are there any out there? Would like to hear some different mufflers on this V8.

Get a set of summit racing welded mufflers. A set should be around $100. Maybe less.2-1/4 offset in center out.
