red accents would look sharp, as well as hammered iron paint (which gives a textured finish) and chrome almost always works

go for "AAARRRTTT" take a can of bright neon green and throw it over the engine, let dry then repeat with another obnoxious color.

Black, silver, and chrome are the only colors I think look good. Everything else looks like "why did he do that...?"
