Is there a way to shut off the driving lights? I'm putting in HID's and don't want them running all the time. If this question has been asked a bunch before, sorry for the repeat.

Thanks!

I didn't do anything. I figured out all I have to do is turn the knob to shut the lights off. This also turns off the driving lights.

I did 08blkgp's "How-To Disable DRL's" mod. It was super easy, only had $6 in it, and it works great...so glad i did it

Go to the site and do a search with 08blkgp as the author and put DRL in the search term. In time filter put 1 year and then in "results that match" put "all words". That is how I found it.

When you guys say you just turn the knob, what do you mean by that?

For 3-5$, you can keep your warranty and your automatic headlight system working as stock and have your HID's work flawlessly, just install a capacitor to stabilize the DRL voltage. If you wish and even choose to turn ON/OFF the DRL feed, add in a few more dollars in parts and its easily doable. This discussion is currently ongoing in the following thread (04-08-grand-prix-discussion-f19/how-do-disable-drl-low-beams-in-07-gp-t20978.html). I try to stay away from modifications that will break any stock functionality (depends ) especially if theres way to keep the feature and still get what you want....but that's me..

If you use the method posted on ClubGP above it will void your warranty and break the stock functionality of your headlights turning ON/OFF with the dash sensor. If you are breaking that functionality with the headlights then chances are your dash lights will not come on/off automatically either with the dash sensor...OR they could be ON all the time like the people who do the "tape on sensor" or "resistor wired to the sensor" methods to defeat DRL....maybe "lcuthber" can confirm the side effects of the mod since he has done it....
