Need fronts uber bad, shitty falkens are about to take a shit. Looking at about 600 for two fronts fully installed with possible alignment, 60 bucks less if I dont need the alignment.

At Discount Tire, those tires are only $188 or $207 a piece. Where are you getting $600? I've never had that tire, but it gets really high marks from the people who have. I was thinking of getting those when I got my tires a few months ago.

Continental tires get noisy after they start to wear down, plus they are hard to balance. If you look at the reviews most are for new tires with very miles on them. I put Eagle GT's on my G8 and it's the best tire I ever bought over the years. They didn't get noisy even though they are almost down to the wear bars and they are smooth as glass at triple digit speeds on the original tire balancing when I had them installed. They do wear quicker than most passenger car tires, but that's expected from a tire that has great traction even with around 400hp under the hood.

I personally love Conti DWS's. My mom has them on her 09 Accord and they are 10831029483x better than the GY that it came from factory with. I've driven many other cars with DWS's, from newer Civics, VW's, GP's, and I loved them and the owners of those cars loved them. Mr. Subaru's mom has them on her Vibe and his dad has them on his G8 so he can probably step in and give his .02 on them as well.

I didn't say they don't ride and perform well but they have issues over the life of the tire. I read about these issues in various car forums and those people tend to be picky about tires. Noise and vibration are 2 things I hate about a tire, and since Continental is famous for both I'd never buy them. As for the Eagle GT's many G8 owners have them and nobody had anything bad to say about them. I personally know a guy with a G8 that installed the Conti DWS and he doesn't like them. They claim that they are an ultra high performance tire but they don't perform like one.

Eagle gts don't come in my size. I need either 255/45 or 245/45.

I have 245/45/18 Eagle GT's so they definitely come in that size. Even Walmart has them but you can get them cheaper at Tire Rack or Sears.

yea i need 18 inch ones.

I've been trying to find some sort of guide that tells you what tires can fit on what size wheels but am having no luck. Some of the best tires dont come in either 255/45/18 or 225/50/18. So just tyring to figure out how much I can stretch them. The gxps have 18*8 in front and 18*7 in rear.

If you choose the Specs tab on the page above it tells you the wheel width range for the various tire sizes. It says the recommended width for a 245/45/18 tire is 7.5"-9" so you should be able to mount them on your rear wheels since they are only 1/2" narrower. They also come in 235/50/18 with a recommended wheels width of 6.5"-8.5" so those will definitely fit the rear wheels. They will be 1/2" taller than the 245/45/18's on the front but it shouldn't be an issue since the stock sizes vary by 1/4" diameter front to rear.

Here's a good tire size calculator for you to use and bookmark for future use.

good calculator there. I may look into finding some of the 235/50/18s for all 4 maybe. Since even tho I still have decent tread left on the rears they're louder than mud tires lol.

I had 235-50-18's on my Grand Prix CompG and they fill up the wheel/fender gap better without rubbing. Plus they will fit your front & rear wheels perfectly.

I had my wheels & tires rotated today at NTB and I told the guy I only got 20K out of the Eagle GT's. He said Goodyear now has a 50K warranty on them in 245/45/18 size, so it looks like I'll get 4 new tires for 60% off the price. This is fantastic and another reason to buy the Eagle GT's.
