Ok guys, I found out why K&N doesn't recommend putting an intake on '05s. The only thing different between the models is the PCM and for a good reason. A few days now after I put my fenderwell cold air intake on my computer has reprogrammed itself. It's sensed the colder intake temps and increased flow and it's dumping extra gas into my cylinders, I'm getting worse gas mileage and less horsepower. I've gotta get this thing tuned ASAP. My car would barely even start yesterday because of this issue. Sucks

I've never heard of an 05 running that bad after a K&N. Is the MAF dirty?

not sure, but I just changed the intake about two weeks ago and it wasn't dirty, then a week ago I redid the intake and it was still clean. I'm gonna try unplugging the battery and see if it won't reprogram itself.

i would switch to stock and wait for a tuner by you

the extra fuel could lead to premature detinations or misfires and if the magnitude of teh misfires are strong enough they can lead to chipped pistons and cracked heads

better to be safe and wait then continue and hope the problem goes away

sorry i have to be a killjoy
