so i had a great day yesterday....i woke up hung over as f*ck and went to start the car and nothing.....the gauges started going back and forth and the check engine light, ABS, etc. all came on....i called up my fiance and she jumped me and i drove home which was only a 5 minute drive....i shoulda let it run but was still half hammered....go to start the car today and once again nothing happened....i hooked up a battery charger to it...the damn thing never got above 75% on the charger but i unhooked the HID's off of the terminal on top of the fuse box, unplugged my radar detector, and turned off my LED lights on the inside....i couldnt think of anything else that could be pulling power....once it finally turned on i went for a drive and watched the volts on the DIC and it started off at 12 and went up to 14.65....when i stopped it went down to 14.00 and then after 10 minutes it leveled out at 14.4....do you think my battery is junk or is there anything else you can think of? the car has a lil under 13,000 miles.

If it's still the AC Delco, then yes the battery is crap. Mine did the same thing, all the ABS/service warnings. Here recently it would do it while I was driving, unlock and lock the doors, cruise stopped working, and kick into 3rd, cleaned the terminal and everything is fine.

about a month ago i was coming up to a stop sign and downshiffted and the whole car shut off....happened a few other times...didnt cross my mind that a 8 month old battery would be sh*t.....im goin to let it sit all night and see if it dies again and if so back to the dealer she goes.

Must be nice to have a warranty

I dropped 280 on a yellow top that was the only battery in town that would go in the GXP...

the warranty is kind of a love/hate relationship with me....its nice if anything breaks it gets fixed for free....the other hand my warranty prevents me from doing rockers/porting/catless DP/dyno tune/trans upgrade.....only 4 more years left lol
