I took my car in for an alignment and to have the brake fluid flushed while it was there. I picked it up after work and went right home ( less than 5min away). Went to work this morning and the brakes felt mushy. Hmmmm. On the way home it was worse. If i held the pedal in one spot the brakes would slowly give. So I got my kids and went home and popped the hood cuz something aint right, and the brake fluid is over half gone WTF!! I check the car and sure as shit the right rear bleeder has been shooting fluid out :mumum: Its covering the rim, outer fender and suspension. I'm calling them 1st thing in the morning and will be none too happy. Especially since my kids were in the car. :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: The bleeder is now closed. I'll post pics in a bit. I am BEYOND PISSED.

*edit* pics added

try contacting a free lawyer that gets paid if you win

you could probably get some cash for the shop's negligence

That could of been real ugly! I agree contact a lawyer... but also let the shop know first thing and tell them you will be in contact with a lawyer. I don't know if i would take it back to them to have it fixed!

well on the plus side you u know your brakes have been bled thourghly. that is scary though for sure. Especially with the kids.
I personally dont agree with the lawyer. I know its a big deal but it was a simple mistake. I was a tech for several year. NO IT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. but we are all imperfect and flesh and blood. If they dont take care of the issue then yes a lawyer. But damn try to take care of this in a peaceable manor first. I just hate how everone sues over anything. Please note im not trying to downplay the severity of what COULD have happened.

I don't like the lawyer idea either. My friend knows the owner well (he's dating his mom)I'm pretty sure it will be taken care of correctly. I'm calling them in the morning and I'll let you guys know what happens. If things don't go the way I like then I'll look into that. The shop has been around for years and its the 1st issue I've had with them, albeit a big one.

I'm pretty sure they didn't mean that. Lawyer thing is getting way too much. I know people would like sue them for their "mistake" to get some money. I have few bad history with body shop or service shop. They admit that their fault so they will fix it. I know some business won't admit it too.

I ran into this issue when I was bleeding my brakes, the rears would stop leaking! I had to keep messing around and pumping the brake until the leaking issue was gone for good.

Make sure you get that brake fluid cleaned up well. It is a WONDERFUL paint remover.

Its taken care of. They re-bled the system and cleaned up the area. The owner apologized to me for it. He had a good talk with the tech.

It's not that we were saying to sue them. The lawyer is for your protection. Thats great that he fixed it but what if he didn't. I'm a tech my self its just now a days you have to look out for number one and that is you.... Just my opinion.

I see what your saying. If he would have given me crap about it, no doubt I would get a lawyer. I'm just glad he did.
