Just picked up my GXP from the body shop last night.

For reference, here is the link to my original post showing the aftermath pics of the accident I was in...

smashed-my-gxp-with-pics-t13461.html

Quick History

I bought this car on April 20 2008 privately from the original owner in London, Ontario, Canada.

2006 Grand Prix GXP
Dark Cherry Metallic paint, tinted windows
K&N cold air intake
Magnaflow cat-back kit installed
Monsoon Premium sound system with ipod interface

Anyway, I was involved in a little accident with a teenage girl who didn't look before making a left hand turn onto the local highway. Long story short, her fault....insurance covered the repair expenses with no deductable and provided me a 2009 chev malibu for 30 days.

I had the body shop order the inferno hood from pfyc.com. I paid the difference in price for the inferno hood....

Here are two pics from the parking lot of the body shop right before I drove it home.

On a side note:

I took the car to Dudley's Auto Body in Brantford, Ontario. The service and speed of the repair was top notch. Dudley's took care of everything for me including the inferno hood. Thanks Dudley's!!

Here are my first two pics....I only took two pictures because I didn't want look like a queer with the camera at the body shop taking tons of pics,....I'll post some more after I clay bar, polish, and wax....

enjoy

Forgot to mention...

The drivers side turning light is being replaced last week. It was still functional so the shop didn't swap it originally...After a bit of haggling, they agreed to order me a new turning light and install it at no additional cost.

Like I said earlier, top notch service from Dudley's.

Looks great in DCM, a warning for ya, though, water will puddle bad in the "heat extractors." Oh, and when you lift the hood after washing, water MAY come pouring out of the ram air hole.

So how did you get it to pan out with your insurance company? Did they cover your inferno or did you have to chip in and cover the difference.. how'd it work out?

honestly, I'm not sure how it is hooked up as the car came that way.

but, I know there is an ipod hookup in the glove box, plugged in the ipod and pressed the aux button on the monsoon deck, ipod plays!!
