Have you tried unhooking the negative battery terminal for ~30 minutes?

Aftermarket Autostart I'm assuming? They always equal bad news for electronics.

I just had an issue where my battery was low and when I tried to start my car normally, the horn went off and it wouldn't start. Also a couple of times my trunk popped open. When I tried to auto start, it did the same thing and my horn went off. Got a boost to start it and had a new battery put in at the dealer. So it is something with the battery for sure.

I just got a new battory over Thanksgiving. It shouldn't be the battory. It starts without a problem. Just wont do the autostart. I'm going to do gxp25s idea this weekend when I have time.

Could it have something to do with the hood latch? Autostart won't work with the hood open, and perhaps the sensor got damaged...?

Removed negative for more than 30 minutes, threw it back on. Started the car for a couple minutes. Turned car off and tried to autostart a few minutes later. No go! lol Alarm goes off immediatly. Not sure what it could be now.

Could be you got a bad battery. Either that, or a ground or positive terminal is corroded. If thats checks out, could either be the alarm module or a flaky body control module. What does the voltage on the DIC say before and after you start it?

I actually just took all the paint off around the ground wire. The terminal look great, the battey is brand new, and the plugs as well. The voltage stays between 13 and 14.5.

Turns out theres something wrong with the key fob. All this time and I never tried the other key. The one that makes the alarm go off locks, unlocks, opens the trunk, and even the panic button works. Except it makes the alarm go off when trying to autostart. The second set of keys I have work perfect, autostart worked first time I try it.

So now what could be wrong with the fob?

Did you get it wet at some point in time? I'd take it apart and clean it, even if you never got it wet.

I know you've concluded it's likely your keyfob that was the cause of your problems.

But maybe check out my post: http://www.gpona.com/forums/gxp-area-f70/tsb-for-fretting-on-electrical-connectors-for-all-gxps-t23526.html

I was having issues with my alarm going off when remote starting randomly that stopped happening after following the TSB I attached to that post.
