Just came to the decision (between the wife and I) that she wants to get a new Camaro SS automatic in February. She is going to basically "give" it to me and take my GXP being her daily commute is much further than mine. I reluctantly agreed (not really) and now I will be stuck with 400 horses. I live in New England but heck, I've had some other rear wheel drive cars in deep snow like a 79 Trans Am with a 403 in it and a 96 S-10 p/up with rear wheel drive which I can say the Trans Am was like a 4x4 compared to that horrible S-10 which had the solid 4.3 Vortech six in it and went nowhere in rain or snow. So anyway, I sat in a new SS and must say that they are awesome looking. I am glad to be keeping the GXP in the family. I honestly would have turned down any offers that would have involved getting rid of it. It's not just a car, but a family member with attitude. Mine is an 07 and I have had NOTHING WRONG with it since new except for the ISS replaced once. I have a little over 31000 on it and it seems to only run better with age. Just wanted to share this with the fellow GXP'ers out there.

Doesnt sound like a bad deal...but personally I'd rather have the GXP...new Camaros are sweet looking rides but not very practical. Being "stuck" with 400hp on the other hand must be a real bummer...lol

Thanks for all the replies. We were thinking of bergundy or black. I'll have to get snow tires for the rear for winter and go through the whole process again of finding a spare tire because once again, these do not come with one - grrrrr !

I don't believe that any brand new car from GM has a spare any more. They just give you a cheap @$$ pump, and a couple months of OnStar and call it good. Cheap Bastards.

My new G8 doesn't come with a spare but a pump like you stated.
