Sure it works good, I just wanted a sealed airbox that looked more like the factory setup, so I got the Volant. If Nick doesn't want it you can have it for $75 shipped, I lowered the price for him because I've know him a long time, plus he doesn't have much cash to work with. (Me either since I'm not working)

It was built piece by piece specially for the G8, so they don't have a part number for the whole unit. I paid $75 for it used and the guy that sold it to me said it cost him around $150 for all the parts.

Will it work with the V6? doesn't Lester have the V6 IIRC? Don't mean to sound dickish (I'm really not!) just an a honest question, lol.

I definitely appreciate the offer Don, at this time I will have to pass, last night we just signed a lease for a different apartment and pretty much have to pay double for a month so we can have both places for two weeks so we can move a little easier and stuff... plus I have to pay our car insurance next month, and we always pay for the 6 mths up front, and I gotta do some painting and stuff as well as buy a nice hose so I can wash my car myself FINALLY...

Lester, you should definitely snatch that intake up, thats a great deal on an intake for our cars... I would take it but with the money I just spent on the Adams GB on GRRRR8, my fiancee would kill me and I would have (-)$ probly, lol


I believe our intakes are the same, at least as far as aftermarket goes

You're right he does, I just did some searching through his other posts. It might not fit, I know that RotoFab has a special CAI for the V6.

It should work. My car uses the same intake as the GT and GXP...and nearly the same one as the camero too. I dont forsee any problems, i may have to extend it a bit more into the block as i have a bit more room up there because of the lack of the 2 extra cylinders. lol

Here is a pic of the V6 intake....(not mine, just a pic from google) But you will probably notice that the intake is the same as the one for the GT...

That look's like a picture of the V8 to me, the V6 has a different intake manifold on top of the motor.

Here's a picture of the V6, the intake is slightly different. If you have a 4" throttle body opening it should fit, but it looks smaller than that.

I tried to do some diggin on the internet to find out the size of the opening for the V6...But i didnt really get anywhere, and im tired...lol
So if anyone knows......

But if push comes to shove, i can just get an adapter piece to fit onto the end of the intake to fit the manifold......
I doubt its that much different....if at all...
