i have 2 "cup holders" in the diplomat (they are indents in the glove box) my GP has 4 2 in the front and 2 in the center arm rest. my van has a ton (10! it only seats 7!) as foe lack of cup holders in the G8 i tend to eat in side restounts or at home so no big loss there

I started with a no eating rule....that lasted about 2 weeks until my gf and I drove home after she was done with work one night this summer and she needed to eat so she wouldn't "starve" during the 4 hour drive...

I think I'd like to reinstate that rule.

Went & looked at a G8 the other day. Wouldn't let us drive it though.. :(
Here's what I noticed.

There was a lot of plastic.. But, it can be easily removed for the most part. It should be chrome more.. and less plastic like under the hood, that's just lame.
I liked the way the gauges & radio & whatnot were displayed, however, I love HUD! Lack of HUD = :(
The doors! There aren't any locks, window rolls or ANYTHING! It's very... plain.
CUP HOLDERS!! Just like my Prix, there are not enough CUP HOLDERS!!!!!!!!
I loved the headlights & tail lights, very very cool. Most companies wouldn't do that.

But, it's aG8, how can I not love it?

Hopefully the 2010 GXPs will have a few improvements or else Prix is staying for awhile! Hopefully I can drive one of these days.

Drive a GT and you'll be sad to have to take your Grand Prix home. I got to gun the motor on one a few times and HOLY CRAP IT MOVED!

^^^ Ummm yeah pretty much what he said. Everything you complained about is a non issue and are things that people tend to reach for when trying to find negatives about the G8. Not to mention things you forget about when you press the go pedal and 361hp flows rampantly to the rear meats :D The plastic in the engine bay can be removed in 3 seconds just by lifting it up, and what OEM uses chrome under the hood nowadays? I like it the way it is, easier for me to customize. I might even paint the engine cover a bit to make it look better than it already does  And the cupholders in the car are just fine. You have 2 up front for the driver and passenger, and in the rear there are 2 in the fold down center section, which is large enough to act as a table. Its freakin sweet and will prove useful once I have kids  And about the doors, everything being removed from them and put in the center is something taken from the Germans. Its all about simplicity and centralized controls. Everything being in the center cleans up the interior and makes everything flow a lot nicer. Trust me, if you were to own one, you would easily and quickly fall in love with every little nuance it has ;)
