I just got this as a loaner from the dealer whilst they are having my rims redone.

Just look at it. Went from a G8 to a G5!! FTW!!

Talk about a down grade. They could have at least given you a G6, but I guess its better then a G3.

Then i asked if i could take a car off their used lot....I was going to take a 2008 Caddie CTS that had 24s on it......

Eh, its a good little car i guess. It gets really good gas mileage....I was getting like 50mpg today just cruzin down the freeway with cruse control on.
I also kinda like the color too. The thing is though, it isn't trying to be a car that it isn't. Its just a smaller economical car that has a good motor in it. The gear changing is smooth most of the time, a bit slow to change, but still smooth.
When I put my foot down, it takes a bit to get up and go, But, again, Its just a small car, its not trying to be fast. It just wants to take you from point A to point B, and does so fairly well.

The interior is basic, but at the same time, isn't boring. The seats are fairly comfortable, even for someone tall like me. The steering is light and touchy, and it has a cool leather wrapped steering wheel.

But, like a cobalt, it SCREAMS rental car!

The Build quality is great. But the materials in the interior could be a little better (Mainly the dashboard)

It is however faster that a PT Cruiser i found out last night....
Oh, and the speakers in it are better then the ones in my G8. (I do have the so called "premium system too")

Id say though if i were to rate it out of 10, it would be a firm 7.
Ive been in small Asian cars, and there just isn't anything to em.
The G5 at least gives you a small amount of satisfaction that it isn't just another small car. Its a little different, looks a little different, drives a little different, But, It isn't trying to be something its not.

Well, Its the one of the loaner cars from the dealer, so the one above the front windshield says "Young Pontiac" with a pontiac dart inbetween the words. The one on the back just says their website, and the one on the lower back corner is the logo for their accessories shop they have on site....lol

And its kinda funny actually, my girlfriend has a black cobalt (4 door) and they are identical for the most part. haha.

Its a good car though. Not MY type of car, but decent at being a car.

x2. The G5's nothing more than just a rebadged Chevy Cobalt. I wouldn't expect the same or higher quality from a car as I would one that is imported from Australia.
