Just a quick video I made up of some of my runs on Saturday. Two in car shots that look amusingly slow, and 3 out of car shots. One of them is a crappy video of my best run, a 13.05@107. Im going back down Friday night to try for 12's

niiice. What was the temp there that day? I remember opening day at NYIRP last year was 87 degrees and sunny. My GTP ran like shit that day. lol. But yeah You should be in the 12's very soon. ;-)

Ive been holding off on going to the track lately cause its been so muggy down here. Once I get my 3.6'' pulley on later this week (too much KR with the 3.4'' on the Gen V) and increase my timing I'm really hoping to hit a very low 13. My best down here so far was a 13.341 @ 102.62, and that was with all the knock w/ the 3.4'' on the Gen V, so my timing absolutely sucked. My LTFT that day was at like 7.13. I've recently got my LT and STFT's dialed in perfictly at 0, after a little playing around w/ my Powrtuner. So once this 3.6'' comes, and I'm not getten any more KR i'm gunna add some 05 timing tables and see what she'll do next week.

Man, I miss racing at NYIRP  But I'll be up there in June for 2 weeks, so I'll definately be taking the GTP there for old time's sake. We'll have to gather a bunch of guys and go when I'm up there. I wanna see that G8 run.

Cool in car video! Those were some good runs, they didn't look slow to me. Your so close to the 12's you should be able to pull it off. I'll probably run mine Friday night, and I'll try to get some videos of it.

Temps were in the upper 60's to low 70's, partly cloudy with a good tail wind. Nice and dry too. This Friday should be real nice, little cooler and hopefully not as humid. Gonna be a sunny day all day as well so the track should be nice and sticky :)

Yeah I'll be going a few times during the summer Im sure, so no worries steve you'll get some seat time. Im gonna let Kim (my wife) drive it Friday, I want her to get in on the same excitement I have :)

NYIRP is 596 Ft above sea level (its on a big hill kinda). But honestly, you dont really start noticing yer car being slower til you get above 2000 IMO. Here in Florida.... I'm AT sea level....literally...the gulf is 200 yards away or so, and theres no difference in performance from here and back home un upstate NY (450-600 ft above)

I am 3200+ above sea level, so our cars up here are considerably slower than something lower. That makes me always interested in elevation.

Yeah... when i used to drive from Rochester, NY to Cheyenne Wyo all the time I'd start to notice the power loss in Nebraska west of Ogalalla when you get into the really high plaines. And once you get to Cheyenne, at 6000 ft. My GTP there felt like a GT in NY.

Nope, no stickies. Just the summer tires dropped to 28 pounds. And GP Fever pretty much summed up our track :)

I ended up going to the track on Friday and only managed a 13.2@106 best, ran mostly 13.3's. Air temps never got below mid 70's and it was more humid than it was last Saturday. Im sure the density altitude was way worse as well. So the car is at least running consistently with the conditions. I still think a 12 is easily doable in some nice 60* temps. Just gonna have to wait for the right night to come along and then I'll head back down to give it another try :)
