Well, Don, unfortunately some people just simply flat out do NOT care about cars. It saddens me too to pull up next to something nice (Beemer, Porsche) to find the Milf driving it doesn't care whatsoever, even ask her what it is she doesn't know...

I beg to differ Mike. She knows that it is "cute" and that is why she picked it out.

There should be NOTHING cute about a 350+ HP V8. Ever. Only badassery.

I finally got a chance to drive it! I have to say, overall it is a great car. There were a few things I was surprised about, mainly quality and driver controls.

For raw power, performance and looks I give it an A+++++++++++! I gotta have one!

The interior has a racey feel about it. I love the color combinations with the black/red and silver accents. IMO there are too many buttons/gadgets in the center console below the radio. I guess if I read the manual I'd figure out what was what. I didn't like the steering wheel controls for the radio and the cruise control took a little getting used to. I didn't like how I had to turn it on each time I restarted the car. The 12v power outlet under the radio didn't maintain power when the car was off. That was annoying as well because my gps would shut down each time if I didn't manually over ride.

While cruising between 70-75 there wasn't too much road noise but there was some drone. When I was cruising around 80 through the Carolinas, the rear view mirror vibrates and made it difficult to see what was coming up behind, but the drone was gone.

I don't know if was an optical illusion or not but it appeared the center of the hood by the windshield flexes and vibrated a lot.

There's probably some other minor things I can't remember right now, but nothing that would stop me from buying one for myself.

I can't wait to drive it again!

The buttons & knobs under the radio control the heat/AC and they are easy to use once you figure them out. I mainly leave mine on auto and it works very well most of the time. Some G8's have vibration from tire balance issues, mine isn't one of them and it's smooth at all speeds. I did buy new tires though, I have the Goodyear Eagle GT all seasons and they are excellent tires.

Since the car you drove has drone, it must have non-stock mufflers. The stock mufflers are too quiet so I added custom made Borla axlebacks to give it some sound. It does drone slightly around 2000 rpm but it's not annoying to me. I disabled DOD with my Superchips tuner so that helps keep the drone down. If you're thinking of buying the G8 I highly recommend it, I really like mine!

+1, there is absolutely no reason to keep a GP over a G8 if you have the means to upgrade. My GTX was cool and a little different, but man this thing is a completely different animal.
