isnt the bolt pattern on a CTS the same as the GP?

Not sure.

Don here is the spare tire is part number 92214938. With shipping it is cheaper to get it at a dealer. It hink the list price is around $70. So for $200 you can have the whole set up.

that means i could put my mom's sexy rims on my car?!

Thanks for the part number on the spare tire Charles, the CTS does have the same bolt pattern so it will also fit.

Kansas I have Onstar and it's working, but I didn't want to wait around for someone. I just pulled out the air compressor, filled the tire and away I went. I don't like anybody touching my car anyways, they always seem to screw something up!

Actually the CTS has a the same pattern as the Grand Prix (5x115), not the G8 which is 5x120, correct?

Yea, I hear you there. I don't let anyone else touch my car either. Luckily I have never had to use OnStar (knocking on wood).

Don did you ever find out how to check the outside temp? If not, there is a button in the HVAC control area in the lower left corner next to the driver side heat control knob. I think it says EXT on it. Press that and it shows the exterior temp on the display in the top center where it usually shows how the air is leaving the vents ;)

Also with the DIC, if you press the enter/scroll key wheel on the steering wheel before you turn the ignition and hold it on while cranking, you can enter "Engineering Mode" which shows you some stuff. If you dont press the DIC button on the wheel that usually changes the screens (the button thats paired with the Source option for the stereo), you can scroll through the menu while driving to see such things as fuel gallons used per hour, when the AFM kicks in, and some other stuff. Its nothing too great, but its kinda neat :) Just remember, once you leave Engineering Mode by clicking the DIC button on the wheel, you cant get back to it without turning the car off.

As far as mods, keep 'em simple and be happy with the car the way it is. Its almost a tragedy to ruin something that is already so refined and smooth while still being quick. All Im doing is a CAI and a tune and *maybe* some Flowmaster 3 chambers just to give it a tad more V8 rumble. Its just too quiet right now :(

Yeah I found the ext temp button and messed around with the engineering mode. Like you said it's nothing spectacular, but it does have some useful info. I'm happy with the car as it is, a different intake would give it better response/sound, and some STB bars would be nice to have.
