Alright,

I dont think my car likes being here because it get SO DAMN HOT here....

I get shitty gas mileage, because of the AC, but you will die here if you dont use it. And we are close to sea level.

The roads suck bad! And my wheel covers keep falling off because of that, and rocks hit my rims and chip them and cause the clear coating to flake off.....

And the rough roads are hell on the cars 'sport suspension'

There is sand EVERYWHERE! And it gets EVERYWHERE.

But mainly because driving through Yuma is like descending through the 7th circle of hell.

adjustable stocks FTW my brother! Maybe you should just repaint the rims completely black if they get really bad.

I know how you feel. I am to the point that I just want to wash my G8 and leave it in the garage. I wash the car on Sunday and really did not drive it much until yesterday to work. The car looked great when I left the house and looked fine when I got to work. But when I came out of work I had tree crap blown on the car, then on the drive home the car got sprayed with something and I had silver dots all over everything. Last when I get home I find that the front end has mud all over it. WTH did mud come from on the freeway? So now my car looks like crap and it is going to rain for the next two days so no reason to wash it.

It sounds like you should have bought a Baja buggy instead of the G8. I wouldn't want to have my car subjected to those conditions.

Wow your car must get really hot inside seeing that it's black.

I think the only thing i really have going for me here is that Yuma is Sunny on average about 320 days of 365.

The other like 35 days its just overcast, and from what ive been told it rains around 10 days every year.

So if i dont park next to a sprinkler system (like i did the other day without realizing it) I dont usually have to worry about water spots!

Sometimes we get 10 days of rain in one month, no wonder it's a desert there. I don't like rain but I wouldn't want to live in a dust bowl.

Usually the dust isnt really THAT bad unless it get real windy......

Its kinda funny though, its like 108 right now, and whenever it gets to like 98 degrees, we think that that is 'nice, cool weather' to be out in.

Its mental....lol

When i do get my car nice and shiny though....MY GOD does it look good because of the sun here......

I couldn't imagine it being that hot, it was in the low 90's the other day and I was cooking out on the ball diamond. Granted it's more humid here, so that does make it feel hotter than it really is. If it got to 108 here we would be dropping like flies!

That is very true. Its normally like less than 2% humidity here depending on where exactly you are at.

It was up to like 35% yesterday for most the day because there was a big storm system that came up from Mexico.

It didnt rain here....only like 10 miles east of here though lol.

But it was like 109 with 35% humidity.

haha, at least you don't live down here near Savannah Georgia... it seems to rain at least once a day during the summer.... no point in washing the car most of the time.

lol, it actually RAINED here alittle bit yesterday! It wasnt even enough to really dirty the car.

But now, its like 110 again, and the humidity is up around 75% because of the 'storm'

I couldn't handle it being that hot, it must be unbearable doing anything outside. I sure wouldn't want to ride the Harley, I'd be cooking in that heat.

And to make things worse, the 'vanpad' (Its a big complex of these 'vans' that we fix gear in) lost all power this morning for no apparent reason....
And its currently 115, And there is no air conditioning because there is no power. IT/WAS HELL!!!

Im so thankful that the Air Con in my G8 is superb!!!
