Holy shit. That is just wow. My prayers are for his family and friends but the real question is how in the hell do you manage something like that. Must have been topping the car out because that building is at least 20 ft away from the curb and like 15 ft high. Like you must have been bootin er. R.I.P.

The building is 75 feet from the curb approx. My guess is that he lost control in a shift or something (maybe hit a rock going too fast).. car went sideways. car hit the curb and cartwheeled until it hit something else causeing it to be airborn and on the roof of a building. Just a guess, an accident like this doesn't happen with a lot of momentum.

dam this is one hell of a accident! This is certainly a wake up call for many people

I can't go by what the media puts out. I've been in and know of too many people that have been in situations that the media jacked up all the info. The only think that I can bank on from this is that "speed" was a factor. A Captain Obvious moment for the media. But like Malefic_GP said, it should be a wake up call for many of us....including myself.

Flip, If you get it all sorted out and someone has a paypal account, I will put in a few bucks. I know I am still kinda new here, but I am not new to the "car scene".....or deaths

Shit happens, I consider myself a safe driver. But sometimes you just gotta use the tall peddle. Sometimes you get caught, I am thankful for any speeding ticket I have gotten in my life, better than the alternative. At least tickets roll off your record with enough time.

I saw this the other day, but didnt get a chance to post... this was very unfortunate... if the kid was in fact under the influence, then like a few others have said, I think he's an idiot.. certainly he must have been fooling around, I highly doubt you will flip like that hitting a curb, it must have been a very tall curb, just low enough not to stop the vehicle...

RIP and my condolences go out to his loved ones...

I agree, as unfortunate as any accident is, when the driver was drunk I have a hard time feeling sorry for them, thier fam maybe, but as my Drill Sergeant used to say, "it doesn't take a science rocket".

I didn't catch anything in the report about drinking in this case though.

Some more horrible pictures.

The pics of this car show just how dangerous it is too make one little mistake
while driving at a high rate of speed. I never meet Shaun but what people have told me about him, I wish I would have gotten a chance to meet him.

 RIP SHAUN

I don't think I have ever seen a car this destroyed before. After working in auto salvage for a few years I never seen a car this damaged before. It's a terrible situation.

What really makes me think Don is how bad was noise and what were the circumstances. The G8 is a well built car, I never would of thought of one coming apart like that before.
