Can't make any of you guys happy. The G8 is an incredible car. Doesn't matter what the nameplate is on it. I'd be more than content that they are trying to keep what could be one of GM's best cars in a VERY long time. I would prefer the Impala name plate. But, I would take "Caprice" over no car.

Caprice - I'd take it if it had something like a 350 or 427 in it

I think the mixture of the VXR8 lower bumper piece and the G8 hood and grill area is the best combo I'd like to see on a car. I know someone PS it on the G8boards

also GM will not use that caprice the rear is diffrent it is a longer wheel base then the G8. they will probably use the lumina ss and just re-name it. if they don't there idiots and waisting money.... agian

G8 looks the best. But I would have no problem buying it under Chevy Impala, Lumina, Caprice as long as it has the same 6.0l drivetrain. That's all I really want, but the G8 just carries it the best.

Chevy already has the Malbu, Impala, Monte Carlo (2 door i know, but still large car) Then the caprice.

= too many.

Plus, it just looks like an overgrown Cobalt anyways.

The Caprice looks too bloated compared to the G8 and the Commodore. Even the picture of the 2001 that Blackwood posted looks sleeker than it does. The car Chevy should sell is the Lumina SS, call it an Impala with the V8/V6 options and drop the aging W-Body chassis.

The ones on the top are the body type I saw on the freeway in MI. near the GM proving grounds but it was Orange. It said Lumina SS on the back.

AND it was SWEET. Right side drive. SO SICK!!!!!
