Yes, I am still trying to decide if I want to pursue a G8 GT and I wanted to known some specifics on the known issues with the G8.

I read below that Don stated that there some issues with tire/wheel balance issues with some G8s and the vehicle I am looking at seems to have had several tire/wheel condition checks etc....according to the Car Fax report. I have dealt with tire/wheel issues on my GTP and it sucks trying to determine the issues behind vibrations..etc.

Are there any more specifics regarding this type oftire/wheel issue on G8s?

Anything else I should know about now that more people are driving G8s?

I never had an issue.. But I bought one of the last ones on September of 2009. Now and then my door charm will say on for some reason.. But I just shut it off and restart it and its fine. Oh and the gas cap, That doesn't happen often though..

Those issues are not too disconcerting......

Any issues with brakes?

Mayben did have an issue with a stuck piston. But, other than that- I heard of any. You should lurk around the G8 forums really and run a search. I only have a newbie's level of knowledge on this car so far.

Brakes? I don't think I have heard anyone with any sort of brake issue.

The stock rotors and pads they use on the G8's are crap. That is probably going to be the first mod that I do to the car so change those out and you are good to go.

I'm getting the brake system off the Camaro or z06... maybe next year. I just dropped the money for the VCM intake.
