I will get the pictures of my phone when I get home tonight. But when I went to pick my car up on Friday evening, my buddy went and showed me the three beautiful G8's sitting there waiting for someone to take them home. Red, white, and silver, all with chrome wheels, and all fully loaded. All I can say is wow, but I resisted no sale I will stick with my GP. I didn't want her to get jealous while I was looking at them. You know how cars get pissy, when you go behind their backs . It has brembo brakes all the way around, 505hp, the wheels are beautiful, the inside is georgous, I can go on and on. I know my phone won't do it justice, but I will get them up loaded at soon as I get home.

I just can't figure out why my dealership would get them when they are getting ready to close down at the end of the month.

The only thing that I can think of is that they were ordered by customers, so they'll complete the sale.

Hell if they offered me a deal and I was in your position, I couldn't have resisted. I'd be driving a G8 GXP...

Sorry about not getting the pictures up last night, had issues with the Jeep. My husbands '02 Grand Cherokee Laredo's transmission decided to take a dump on his way home from work. Thank God we have an extended warranty on it. But I was running him all around last night, and forgot all about the pictures. I'm just glad he was able to limp it home. It wil go up to 2nd gear and once you go past 2nd it pops into neutral. Doesn't sound good at all to me

And I should have grabbed a picture of the tow truck trying to tow his Jeep away to the transmission shop. They didn't have a flat bed readily available, so they sent one of those snatch and grab types with dollies. Well the guy was real nice and all, and took real care about getting the Jeep all tied down properly. Well we sign the papers, put the keys in the glovebox, and he starts to pull away. And then all of a sudden one of his dolly tires came right off the rim. And the opposite side looks like it is going to buckle from the weight of the Jeep. I start waving at him, he stops. Then we look at it, and we proceed to take it off the tow truck and wait for them to send a flat bed out.

Just found out, they dropped the pan, and found metal shavings in there, along with springs, and other junk. doesn't look too good for -Geep- -Geep-...... So right now East Coast Transmissions and the warranty company are hashing it out and are working out all the details. Sounds like a rebuilt transmission is coming soon to a Geep near me. I'm just glad we still were under warranty. And what is really weird was the fulid was full, nice and clear, no leaks anywear to be found. Just some fluke accident with this particular transmission.

Damn, Chrysler transmissions aren't exactly great... This is why I buy GM cars. Trans quits, it's generally easy to figure out why...

Joe, I should have taken a picture he had this look like WTF!!!!! And his comment back was the only time he puts it into neutral is when he's going from park to drive, or if he's going to use 4wd hi or lo. So he said you can't get him there, try, try, try again  .......

Mike, I would have to agree with you I was reading up in carstats.com on the '02 Jeeps drivertrain, and my goodness all kinds of compliants. I found this one to be most concerning, people putting their Jeeps in park leaving their cars. And then low and behold watching the Jeeps roll away, some have even been behind their Jeeps when this has happened. Nice huh..... And the list went on from there.

Well he is getting his transmission rebuilt by East Coast Trasmission, and it will be ready by Friday. Which is good, because he hates driving around in a mazda 6. So he has dropped down not only is size of engine, but size of car , and he hates it........

Mazda 6... Well, I know someone who has a 6, whose displacement is smaller with more HP than a 2004 GTP... About as much as a GXP Grand Prix... It's the Mazdaspeed6 version. Close to 300 HP out of a 4 banger...

And more power to you for not wanting to get rid of a GP in favor of a G8. The GP is to a G8 what a Civic is to a GTP, I dont know how anyone could NOT want a G8!! Drive one and you'll understand

Yeap that's what they told me, 505hp. So my bad, I haven't done much investigating into the G8 GXP. So I don't know all the ins and outs of the G8 yet. I thought that seemed high, but I wasn't going to question since I thought they would have known the specs.

Now don't get me wrong, I would love to have a G8 in the driveway. But I have always wanted a GP ever since I can remember, and I have put a lot into my GP. And am still getting things done to her. So I am not quite ready to give her up just yet. I also have a CompG, which you don't see as many of out on the road. And my GP has been paid for in full, so no car note. And I am not willing to pick up a car note right now either. Shoot I am stilll under my extended warranty, so I think I'll stick to my GP. Maybe oneday I'll get a G8 or maybe the new TA, now that would be sweet. If that does make it to the streets, that would be a great mid-life crisis purchase.
