They had a red and a silver one at the dealership. They let me test drive the silver one. It was awesome! I think the 6 speed automatic might be a little more fun but I would still go with the manual on the sake of principal. I didn't get on it very much but it felt like it could blow the tires off in 1st and 2nd but in 4th and 5th it just pulled really strong. I would have expected a little more but the sales girl was very heavy, lol. I still miss the heads up display but it had a sunroof at least. Too bad I can't afford one yet.

Steven

The GXP is nice, but I think it's overpriced unless you must have a manual. You can put $1500 into a GT for a tune/CAI/mufflers/suspension and just about get the same performance. Sure you won't have the fancy Brembo brakes, but for another $800 for can buy them and bolt them right on the GT. The stock dual piston brakes are much better than the ones on the Grand Prix, so to me they are more than sufficient. With the trans tune the auto stick shifts like a manual without a clutch, mine chirps the tires when it hits 2nd and 3rd.

I will have to agree with Don, granted I haven't driven either models. The GXP is sweet as hell, but overpriced.

As a witness, I must attest to said chirping. The man speaks the truth, despite his innate insanity...

It's not how old you are, it's if you have enough money and you're serious about buying the car. I'm sure they won't let you just take it out for a joy ride!
