ouch, what a waste of a G8 :shock: Im with you guys on the RWD, but i just wonder well how a G8 would hang with a FWD GP in the corners....Any idiot can go fast in a straight line, as we saw from the vid, but it takes more concentration and skill(imho) to keep from flipping a 3000+ lb car going 90mph through a 40mph corner

Ooooh...I've done that in the Cutty. Well...close, anyways. Been through 35-40mph corners upwards of 80mph. But, yes...I prefer rear wheel drive. I like driving the Volvo because it is rear wheel drive.

The G8 will out corner the GP because most of the weight is in the front end with FWD, and the weight is further back with RWD. The G8 has almost a perfect 50/50 weight balance, which is why it handles so well.

The G8 is built on the same chassis as the new Cadillac CTS, it's the most advanced platform for GM in the world. I heard the Impala and Monte will be using the same platform, that should help Chevy tremendously with sales.

Insurance would not cover that. He was not driving the car as it was intended to be used. Not to mention if he does have nitrous on it, the insurance adjuster might pick up on that and that will more than likely be an automatic disqualification. If he wanted to lie and say it happened while driving home from the track or to the track he would need a police report to back it up. I'm sure he signed a waiver at the track saying that if anything happens to the car the track is not repsonsible. So he is pretty much S.O.L.
