I'm glad I don't have those covers, I wouldn't want to be replacing them if they fell off.

The transmitter distance couldnt be nearly as bad as they were on the GTO's. I had 2 "keymotes" and both didnt work worth a shit until I was within 5 ft. I figured it was an australian thing.

Some G8 owners had their remotes replaced under warranty and they work much better now.

It may just be the system they used on the 08 model cars because my girlfriend's Aveo is the same way, you have to be about 5-10 feet away to use it. I think it might be a safety feature, at least that is what I will tell her if she asks.

Guess someone at GM wants G8 drivers to use their head. But seriously, I noticed that my GP gets better range if it has a straight shot at the car. Like holding it up to the window in the house instead of leaving it on the keychain.

All us G8 owners know how far the remote works on the GP because we all had one.

Yup, so getting back on topic....

...This is getting old.

BUT, My wheel covers are gone again. The dealer is getting involved with factory reps now to figure out what is going on.

Will keep yall updated lol

Maybe your neighbor is taking them, as stated earlier, either that or you are collecting them and then selling them.

lol, that wouldn't make sense......I have been taking most of the broken ones back to the dealers....lol

The GM factory people and the dealer and I all are starting to think that its because the company that did the work to my rims machined down the rims slightly and that is causing there to be too much of a tolerance in the caps.....

I was thinking that it may be due to the modification...

Yea, i gotta go pick up my car in a few hours (And give back the G5 lol) and we are goin to play around with a few different things that a factory rep from Holden (I actually got a call from an ACTUAL factory rep from Australia like an hour ago about it) But he said that he has reviewed all the info about the car and the rims and they came up with a few solutions.

He didnt say what they were, but he said he contacted the dealer and they know about it.....

Kinda interesting though that i actually talked to someone from Australia.....
