Hey all, I just got a call from my dealer saying that they had some updates for some of the software on my G8.
I would presume its going to be for all G8s.

They were updates for the Tire Pressure Monitoring System and the Brake Position Sensor.
I have the 'id' numbers for them (they were just the numbers my dealer gave me for the updates)
They are:

09101 - TPMS
09046 - BPS

If you havent herd anything from your dealer, you can call them and ask them or ANY GM dealer.....

I guess the updates were because the TPMS wasn't telling the driver that one of the tires could have been low all the time...
And the other (the Brake Position Sensor) was causing some peoples brake lights to be on even when no brakes were being used...

I got a letter the other day for the recall on both of those items. I'm not having any problem with either of them so I'll just have them do it the next time I have to take mine in for something. I just had some warranty work done a couple weeks ago so hopefully it will be a while before I have to visit the dealer again.

I got my brake one done. But the Chevy dealer i took it too couldn't get the TPMS one done, it kept giving them error codes, so i had to make an appointment for next week so they can call some Pontiac help desk thing and find out whats up.....
