Here's what's coming for my wife's GT.

2010 Camaro SS polished rims (20x8 and 20x9)

Image

Wrapped in 285/30 and 245/35 Hankook Summer tires

I'm waiting on TPMS sensors and then I can get them mounted and installed later this week.

I hate to uhh, break it to ya, but I don't think they're going to fit. Normally you can't fit anymore than a 275 on them... hopefully they are the wheels with a +45 offset...

They fit with fender rolling. There's a G8 running with the exact setup (same exact tire):

The G8s have the same issues as the GTOs, their suspension is horrible from the factory. Some cars can get away with the wider tires, and some can't, even with fender rolling. It depends on how bad your suspension is. They are strapped down on boats from Australlia, and the motion of the water with how tightly it's strapped down creates SERIOUS issues. That's why they bodyroll is badly and overtime yur struttop bushings/bearings collapse.

Yup.
Then they are strapped to trains/trucks to transport across the US. Thus the reason, the suspension is grade A f**ked!

but if the wheels do fit, they will look damn good.

Apparently you're too blind comparing everything to a GTO.. read the posts, check out the links, it obviously works somehow.

I'm not comparing directly to a GTO, because there is no way those wheels/tires would work on a GTO. I'm telling how you it is an why it is. Some cars can get away with it, some cars can't. That's just how it is. Those cars have retarded offsets and can't take large tires because of it. You basically need a minitub to do anything cool.

From what I've read, the G8's handling is a lot better than the GTO's. Granted, there has been some issues with strut mount bearing collapsing and control arm ball joint issues, but I believe they have been resolved.

I'll post pics when I have them installed. I'm anxious to see how they look on a non-lowered G8. I may need to lower it an inch with Eibach's to make it look better, but we'll see.

I saw that wheel from Camaro yesterday while sitting on traffic. I just like wow that's sweet looking wheel. Wish it is fit on 97-03 model or it could be? :D

that looks sick! I wonder if there is anyway to get arrowhead center caps instead of having the bowtie?

That's exactly what I'm planning on. I'll need to order some centercaps, then find a place that can make some center cap overlays.

The strut bushings collapse because they are a poor quality part, not from being strapped down in transit. BMR and Pedders have replacement strut bushings that are a much higher quality and will hold up better than the stockers. The Camaro wheels will fit on the G8 but the fenders might need to be rolled.

It is a combination of the two. You'd be pissed if you were strapped to a boat too LOL

Yeah right, you've been listening to that asshole Muff Daddy too much, that idiot doesn't know squat about cars. The strut bushings are fine when the cars get here, after driving the car for thousands of miles the bushings collapse because they are inferior.

haha, I hardly talk to Muff much since I moved. He's actually pretty damn smart, and I learned all of my suspension from experience.. every GTO and G8 I see I pop the hood to see how bad the strut situation is. Every one isn't a good outcome. Muff actually wants me to go with a stupid huge cam, and I'm not sure I'm down for that... I'll probably get a mild cam, but that's besides the point.. i definitely don't listen to him, or anyone else 100%.
