Required Parts

Silicone Sealant

Required Tools

Straight slot screwdriver

#2 Phillips screwdriver

Estimated Time 1 hour

Turn on your windshield wiper and turn the car off with the wipers halfway up the window. On the base of the wiper use the straight slot screwdriver to move the clip off of the wiper stud. Now you can lift the wiper off the shaft. Next you'll need to remove the screws on the cowl. Earlier models in the 97-03 GP's used one solid piece for the cowl so you'll have to remove all the screws. On models equipped with the two piece cowl only the screws on the passenger side need to be removed. Careful when you pull the cowl off as the windshield washer lines are attached. Next you'll see a little rubber piece dangling around a vent inlet. Use your silicone sealant to glue the seal back around the vent lip. Now you can replace the cowl, the wipers and your done. Very simple.

Note while you have the cowl off you may want to add a little mod by installing the cabin air filter used on the Buick Regal GM part #10261703 AC DELCO Part #CF102 . After you fix the seal install this filter prior to replacing the cowl.

Some GP owners who have a sun roof have had leaks caused by the drain tube leading from the sun roof to the bottom of the car. If you have a sunroof and you have water inside then check the drain tube and ensure it's not clogged. Use something small to clear any obstructions.

Just found this problem with mine and my gf's GPs. I'll have to get in there when the weather clears up.

If you do, get the cabin airfilter as well, just go to any old parts store and ask for a cabin air filter from a 99 Regal, its a slightly tight fit but man is it worth it, my car smells WAY better now
