Just a heads up, that vacuum line for the supercharged cars, it doesn't bypass the rotors. Seafoam can strip the teflon off the rotors. The only way to bypass the rotors is to use the vacuum line in the Lower Intake Manifold, under the snout for the M90. For 3800 N\A use the brake booster.

I've Seafoamed the Comp-G 3x now
I picked up a 2' hose from the auto-parts store...
Just pull the stop plug off & put the hose on for sucking right out of the can.

I just did the F150 & plan on doing it again in about a month

As for the fuel filter,...
If you don't notice a problem after the treatment I wouldn't worry about the filter.
I've done the 1/2 can in the crank-case, the day b4 an oil-change...
It does make for some chunky drain...

Well I did it on my car, used the vacuum line in the Lower Intake Manifold to bypass the M90, my car idles smooth, but I get surges in the upper RPM's. I poured half into the fuel tank, and the rest into the intake. Now will this go away after a few days? or should I be worried? I'm hoping once this tank of gas is done and I refill that there wont be any more seafoam left, and the problem goes away.

That last step is kind of dangerous, most shops stop using fuel system cleaners that are in liquid form through a vacuum line because liquids are not compressible and you can really trash a motor if your not careful. Seafoam is some great stuff, but i would stick to just using it in the tank and cleaning your throttle body regularly, if your tech savvy you can remove and clean out your egr pretty easy.

Where the arrow shows I just don't see how it's going to bypass the rotors. Isn't that vacum port still before te rotors?

Typically if I do Seafoam I use the vacum port that is under the snout on the LIM. Seems to work great for me. Idle is rough at first, but will smooth out after driving.

exact same way. the only bad thing about an induction service is that the particles of calcium, carbon, vulcanized oil, ect... which are removed sometimes clog the catalytic converter.

i did the whole treatment on my 06 GT when i bought it last year. have done it several times on different cars, one thing that isnt very clear on that very thorough writeup is the timing of when to do certain steps.

put the seafoam in the tank and drive around for a few days, when you have about 150 miles worth of fuel left, put the seafoam in the oil. dont beat too hard on it while it is in the crankcase.

when you get real low on fuel, you can refill before you do the next step: the vaccuum line smokeout. looks awesome, scares the neighbors too! make sure your car is up to operating temp or your cat can get clogged up and use the small vac line from under the snout if you are supercharged.

when you get back from your spirited drive, thats when you change the oil and spark plugs and fuel filter. i think its better to clean the gunk out before swapping filters, thats my $0.02 anyway.

but overall, seafoam is a good product that does what it says it does. and i only do it no more than every other oil change.

sorry such a old thread so 98 gtp put in tank and skip pouring in the crankcase then put into both the brake booster and the vacuum on top of the supercharger in image 1-4 or JUST the intake on top of the supercharger? thanks

Hey, I did this today and the middle vacuum line for the L67 f*c*i*g broke when I pulled it off. Now what should I do?

The actual line broke a few centimeters before it connects. Help please.

Cut off the end, and put it back on. Or, replace it.

Not sure if this has been covered or not. It might be a little easier and you should have no worries about how fast or slow to pour the foam in with the new spray. I might try this so I guess I need a bottle of liquid and a bottle of the spray.

I can't, for the life of me get the vacuum line off of the supercharger to put the Seafoam in. So for now I just put one bottle in my tank and a little less than half in the crankcase. I'm in need for an oil change anyways.

That is all I ever do with it as it can alledgedly eat the coating off the supercharger rotors. If you do decide to put it in a vac line then a lot of people recommend the T under the snout so you bypass the s/c and don't have to worry about it.
