Good Morning All, Newbie here looking for detailed (pics, tools required, best place to buy)...write-up about complete replacement of Fuel Injectors (stock, maybe slightly upgraded) on a Bone Stock '99 GT GTP Coupe...car has 185,000 miles - just looking to do all maintenance prior to cold weather here in Southern New England....Oh, BTW - Thanx

Any suggestions, comments, ideas, and/or thoughts would be greatly appreciated...Will be my very first time with this repair...!!!!

Cars been throwing PO306 codes on and off now for over a year...replaced 6 cylinder plug, wire, coil packs...cat was just tested and past state inspection....so the only thing left I believe in injectors.

Cars symptoms...Sluggish and Hesitates upon entry to Highway, or while car is under load. Release gas pedal for a second or two, then get back on it and she is fine....Keep on the pedal during this moment and the car just flat-lines, no power, RPM's rev slightly but no increase in speed or power (until you let off gas pedal and reapply....)

P.S. I've owned the car for just over 100,000 miles and have only had to have the fuel pump replaced in this section of repairs when I first purchased the vehicle .

-Scott

It's pretty easy mate...

1.) Depressurize the system (pull fuel pump fuse, start car until it dies.) Then use the shrader valve to release any access fuel.

2.) Unbolt the fuel rail by undoing the 4 bolts holding it to the LIM, then the one on top of the blower.

3.) Pull up on the fuel rail. Then pull the injectors out making sure both upper and lower o-rings are still attatched to the injector.

4.) Install new injectors with new o-rings.

5.) Repeat steps 3-1 in reverse order and opposite instruction.

DONE!!!
