Thanks for the write up! Will def do this over the weekend. I've always cleaned my MAF regularly but my TB is in extreme need!

Can anyone confirm the torque ftlbs for putting the throttle body back on? The GM online service manual says 89 ft lbs. Just want to make sure. Could I effectively clean the throttle body without removing it with a N/A? Also I noticed when I changed the air filter awhile ago the air duct was stubborn removing and putting back. Could I apply some soapy water to make sliding the duct back on easier or what would you typically do?

Thanks!

take it off, to be honest i didn't know there was a torque spec on the TB so i just put mine on until it got hard to turn haha, but its like a billion times easier to clean with it off, cause you can get both sides and a lil bit in your intake

as far as the ducking goes, just loosen it as much as you can, shouldn't be hard to slid back on if you undo it a bit more
(if you don't have a HAI/CAI like most, i could take off the ducting between the TB and the air box, would work out a lot better for you i would imagine)

Opps... 89 lb in not 89 lb ft. So actually that's 7.4 lb ft, big difference haha! Glad I doubled checked. I thought 89 lb ft was a bit high  haha. Well I'm going to do this soon. Curious how dirty it will look with 140,000 miles.
Thanks!
