Unfortunately I smoke in my car so, I was wondering what's the best way (cheapest) of getting some of that odor out and maybe have a little biT of that new car smell back.

There's a spray I have (you can buy it from most smoker's shops) that gets rid of all of the smell and leaves a smell that's kind of lemon-y. I'll get you the name of it, the bottle's like $4 or something nothing major.

Look at the local convience store and get some stuff called blunt block...Circle K usually has it and it does a good job eliminating smoke odor so I've heard :)

You can cover it all you want, air it out, etc. But the best thing you can do is to clean the entire interior first. Smoke film will get into everything, vinyl, fabric, leather, etc.

you need to ionize it to actually remove the smell. along with cleaning the interior thuroughly, shampoo and degrease the carpets and all fabric, steam the headliner. and then install an ionizer for a few hours and itll be gone for good.

sounds like Odo-Ban to me

we use it at work, works for anything mostly. not too sure about the lemon smell like danny said, smells more like a baby powder kinda thing. you buy it in a huge bottle and mix it with water.

Just get a new air freshener every week. It will the smoke smell will fade after a week or 2. Also if you don't already, roll your window down, and don't use your ashtray.

Better late than never...

If you must smoke in your car, make sure your cabin air intake is
set to bring in fresh air, not to re-circulate. If you have it set to
recirculate, the smoke will be drawn into the ductwork and every
time you turn on the A/C or the heat after that, you'll get an ugly
puff of smoke from the vents. (Not really a puff, but an odor anyway).

Same thing for the A/C's in your house. If you smoke, leave them on
the opposite setting from recirculate.

;-)

try switching to electronic cigarettes- you can smoke them anywhere and it doesn't leave a nasty odor anywhere.

what 04GPGTslpr said is probably your best option. Steam clean it, and shampoo literally everything in the car....seats, carpet, headliner, etc..and get an ionizer from Advanced or AutoZone. I hear they work pretty well. and then use some fabric softener. It should take care of the smell for the most part.
