the seller of the car i just bought left the system in the car...it looks like something hit or cut the rubber on the outside of the sub....it still works fine but i was just wondering if something like this would actually work to seal on the tear?

Doubtful. Best bet would be some gorilla glue, or JB weld.. Do it thin.. and a couple coats. Slow is your friend.
