So recently when I get in my car and hit the switch for amp turn on it won't come on and I started to think the remote wire got snagged or disconnected but that was wrong I ran a new remote and still it would come on and go back off so today I was testing the voltage on the amp lead with the wires connected and I was only getting like 2-3volts but when I check the voltage of my 1/0 gauge while unconnected I was getting 14.6v so I change my ground and I was getting like 15v then when I plugged it back into the amp it drop back down to 2v while connected so I unconnected it with the multimeter lead stuck in the 1/0 gauge wire and once it unconnected it shot back up to 15v. What the hell is going on?

Bad amp?

Sounds like the amp to me. Its like its goin into protect almost. if the power supply is good and the ground is good and there is no power then its gotta be something inside the amp. Grab a different amp from one of your buddies and hook it up to see if it works

So i tried another amp and it did the same so i did a full diagnostics and it turns out the 2 wires that crimp into the fuse holder one came very loose which was not providing enough power to the back. :-) so happy yet upset that was my excuse to by new amp. lol
