Has anyone tried installing a single din unit in the cubby hole under the temp controls? Want to install my police scanner in there (it's a single-din unit). I found one guy that was able to install his inside the cubby. However, mine's about 1/8" too wide.


EDIT:

Never mind.... I found out that you need to remove the unit's outer casing for it to be a true single-din size. It fits snug enough that mounting isn't necessary. I will be able to pull it out and use it at home as well as in the car.

Looks like a nice fit.. Only thing I hate about having things in that location, is it's a PITA to work on when the car is off and in PARK.
