Ever since I bought Gandalf I've been thinking of all the things I could do to make my car stand out from the other white GP's without going extreme.
Inexpensive tweaks first of course and this is just the start. Ill be doing more come Christmas when I get my bonus.

Image

I ordered a black overlay for the Pontiac emblem, but as you can see it didn't quite fit. But I actually like the red/pink edging better. If you get really close the lines are SLIGHTLY off but no one notices.

And I took off the many, many badges the previous owner and dealers felt the need to slap onto the rear. Looks much better.

Thoughts for the future: White out tail light's and headlight's(match paint) or blacked out LED.
Eventually Going to order the SE Front as a whole since my bumper is cracked from previous owner anyways.

Sounds like some good ideas. I always have had a thing for white GPs. I wish mine would have been white when I got it. Nice car name btw haha.

SE front is simply a lip that snaps and screws into your front bumper, its not one piece. So if you bumper is damaged, get it fixed or replce it and order the lip... But brace yourself they arent cheap unless you can locate one used...

This will help... You remove your stocker insert and snap the SE one in...

Thanks, I just can't stand to have a car that looks like everyone in my area. Currently trying to think of a witty, hard to understand decal for my back window.

Only thing I like so far is a " +10HP " window decal lol.

And Im a HUGE Lord of the Rings fan thank you :)

Really loving your side stripe there. The only one I've seen on a GP that looks good.

Thanks but i've read all the topics related to it. The crack in the front is significant enough for me to need to replace it. And I might have found the whole front end of an SE gp for...reasonable I guess. It costs the same as getting my bumper fixed and re-painted.

-- Fri Nov 18, 2011 5:54 pm --

In case I can't get the front. Know anywhere I can get the se insert?

gmpartsdirect.com or lurk the classifieds here and on clubgp.com or some of the regional GP boards...

Too bad your bumper is cracked, but its good that you are looking at it as an opportunity to make your car better... And it is nice to have a GP a bit different than the rest in your town... Alot of us are at that point here (obviously). LOL

Make sure you check out my good online buddy DrunkietheBear for inspiration for visuals on a White GP... his 04 GTP Comp G is SICK.

He is kinda like a GP god arround here... LMAO Although his posts are rare these days, as he is concentrating on work, school, and a fiance.

i've seen white - out tail lights and color matched. they usually kill the light output so you'd need to go to the extreme w/ the bulbs in them

also white washes out in the sun, so around 11 - 3 you'd be hard to tell when breaking w/ the stock 3 brake lights
night should be fine

this on the top and bottom of the rear window would help you get away w/ white "tinted" tails

Here, there are NO GP tuners. Only a bunch of car-ignorant girls who want to play chase with the diesel's lol. I just want people to know I'm not one of em.

Thanks Alex, was planning on upgrading bulbs to super bright white.
And I like the link you showed.

I've seen a whited out GP and It looked phenomenal. Should of taken pictures. But it was tasteful and different then murdering out.

do red for the red lenses
white for clear
and amber for amber

white behind red will still look pink
red behind red will look red

Thanks. I had it modeled off of one I saw online. My uncle changed it's length and waviness to make it match and I think it was a good choice. I like the fact that you don't see it often. I agree with you on the fact that having a car that looks like everyone elses sucks. The minute I got my GP all my friends could never tell which silver GP was me. Let's just say it is impossible to miss a GP with "Stoner" on the plates and banner

^^yep, yur different enough alright... LMAO

-- Fri Nov 18, 2011 11:18 pm --

Kris, I hear ya about being different, beyond a couple of 04 and ups arround with rims, mine is the only gp arround with rims, suspension, and GMPP goodies... people look at it like... wtf THATs a GP??? Its sad really, .01% of these cars might reach their true potential... the rest will not.

If you mod it right, will have a knock out!!

Speaking of girls with White GP's, anyone hear from Miss chelsea?

Really thinking of borrowing your idea on that.

^^ I like it but there's alot of people around here who do that.

I've been wanting a decal for my back window...then I realized just how limited options are for that. If I put a decal back there I'd barely be able to see out of it.

We're supposed to see out the back window?

I hope not. Cause than I would need a rear view mirror and new tint
