Where I'm at in Georgia, they don't bother you about tint. Unless you speed or drive recklessly. Then it's usually the double shaft haha (tint ticket and speeding ticket). Mind you, I've never been givin a ticket before. I've been pulled a couple of times, but as long as you give courtesy, it's usually fine.

since it's 28% front side 15% rear side 15% rear window here in Florida I'm just gunna go with 30% all the way around.

At least its not strict like NY state where the darkest you can have on yer car is 70% on all side windows. And you can spraypaint yer rear window black if you want, as long as you have both sideview mirrors.

But the good thing about NY state, is if you do have tint and are from another state, they wont issue a ticket to you. It only applies to NYS registered cars. I had 5% all around on my 2003 GP GT and had Texas plates on it in NY and cops couldnt give me the ticket even tho they wanted to cause the car was registered out of state.

yeah i got a medical exemption for iowa. just ask your eye dr. about it. say your eyes are sensitive to light. then go to your local courthouse and get a medical exemption. have your dr. fill it out. good to go (=

In Florida almost everyone with tint has it all around at 20% or darker. They don't really hasseel you unless you are doing something illegal.

that 70% law is BS too. And they enforce it, A friend of mine on 2 instances has to peel it off on the side of the road. I would be happy with 50% being legal.

in florida I havee had 20 for the past 10 years and not problem. I have had 15 % on my current car for 3 years. Florida is ok with ttheir tint unless you give them somthing to pull u over about. Plus I have been pulled over and no tickets for tint.

Says nothing about the tails, and from what I hear the law is changing for IL pretty soon.

as long as your light comes out visibly = i mean like normal
and red

you should have no problem, but depends on the cop and state, new jersey you'd get screwed

Talked to a cop today about tail tinting. He says that it is illegal in illinois, but it is not something that will automatically get you pulled over, but it raises the chances.

i have 20% all the way around. 20 or 25 is legal in the rear but 30 or 35% is the limit up front. i've had zero issues with tint. my license plate seems to get more attention, or lack there of one..

Remember, I have a 2000, the cop told me that anything that alters the view of the light is illegal, but wont get you stopped every time.

Looks like the laws in Illinois have changed in regards to front side windows

http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/BillSta ... SpecSess=0

http://www.cartype.com/pages/246/illino ... inting_law

Guess my car is legal now... :)

What amazes me is that a car will pass inspection but still get a ticket for some dumb thing. It PASSED INSPECTION!!!

I find it comical that IA, MT, NE are allowed darker tint than places like Georgia where it's friggin sunny all the time.

If it wasn't for my tint, my car would be almost untouchably scorching. It gets hot enough as it is!
