so yesterday my buddy was kind enough to show me how to do a spring swap and we put the springs in the car. it took a few hours to do it, but i think it was worth it. the car doesn't really ride rougher than before as far as i can tell. other than if you hit a pot hole or something its stiffer, but on normal driving on regular and irregular roads its still just as stiff as it was before. I measured the car before, but not sure if the car was level or not, either way the car is lower. i bought the 1.7" lowering springs through ZZP this past week, and received them the next day. the car hasn't gone down 1.7" or anywhere close to it yet. im hoping it goes down a bit more, but right now its just over a inch out back and about 5/8-3/4 in the front right now. since its my daily ride ill check it next weekend and see if it settled in any. so here is the pic of the car now, its a bit dirty but you get a good idea of what it looks liek. i also made a before/after pic and you can defiantly see the difference.

Looks good. If you get pogoing, the get some anti-pogo washers. But I think you are ok with the bilsteins on the car.

I've hit some railroad tracks at speed and doesn't seem to be an issue.

I thought the car looked good in stock form (which is the before pic) but I think the lowering and tints made it better.

so its been over 2.5 weeks now since they have been installed, and as promised i took some new measurements. as well as some (not so good) pic of the car today.

current height

DF - 27.75"
PF - 27.25"

DR - 28"
PR - 28.25"

drop so far..

DF - 7/8"
PF - 1"

DR - 1 1/4"
PR - 1"

so it really hasnt gone down since i measured it last. id say if you want a slightly lower car these are the ticket. if you want a noticeably lower car, go with the GXP set. I wish i had gotten the GXP set.

GXP looks good. I recently put on my SSC's last month, and it hasn't noticeably dropped any more.

Measuring ground to fender will never give you the accuracy you need, lip of rim to fender will however.

SSC's on bilsteins never settle to the full 1.7" its always right around the 1" area.

If you want the slammed effect Intrax springs would be the way to go, but personally I think it looks great as is
