If you disolve it in water just add some baking soda, boil and stir....

pfft. You said you have a 4x4, thus a plowed driveway is useless and a waste of time and energy. Drop in it 4HI and let er rip.

Did I read that right that you only have a pair of snows on there? If so, they should be mounted in the back (even on FWD). Loosing traction up front is a controllable slide, but if the front sticks and the back end slips, it gets ugly quick.

i hardly agree with that. If your back end starts sliding out you can give it gas on a fwd car and come out of it. If your front tires slide around the corner and you hit the gas your going into the corner faster. So if front tires starts to skd on said snow procede by rippin the e-brake till the backend is farther out then the front. Then hit the gas so the car straightens out again  Im from minnesota so our driving is different than yours

Yeah I usually only put snows on the front so the back slides on purpose. It makes it more fun that way and with a little practice is easy enough to keep full control of the car.

On a side note, I am glad I didn't bother with snows this year as we have had literally no snow here yet except that freak noreaster on halloween.

so here are some answers..

yes i want the traction to the tires that
a) move the car
b) stop the car
c) and most importantly STEER the car.

as me and the wife have driven rwd most of our lives, a little fish tailing is a no brainer to drive. ( i do it quite often in my rwd's) btw i would be willing to supply the tires if someone wants to do a comparison test on which end the snow's should be on.

and mater you have no idea of the heart break the first time i went to snatch that ebrake in the lebaron. i am sure jen would love to tell that story.. the amount of dissapointment was epic.

and red comp, i think i like it better to... and it just so happens i have another set... and the hardware store has more paint.....hmmmmm...

but we will see.. it is her car and it will ride on what she likes best... i am gonna repaint them for next winter too so they look better.. and i am repainting my 17's for my car and we are gonna try the 18's on the 40th for the summer (at least see what they look like) so time will tell i guess. (the 18's that are in my sig pic. the black with polished lip.)

probably the same heart brake i felt when i went to pull when i had to drive it last year when the van was repo'd and it was the only running car *sigh*

drove it to class and was lined up to slide right next to my classmates and well it did not go to plan at all
