It is easy. I have pulled 4 or 5 side skirts out for looking for metal rails at junk yard.

All you have to removed 2 screws each near by wheel well (front and rear) Then pull it out carefully where it sit under metal rail. Pretty simpe. Oh yeah you will see lot of rust rocker panel behind the side skirt. I have seen it on 97 model at junk yard. It was pretty bad. lol

Like he said, there are retainer screws at either end in the wheel wells... the rest slots into the original rocker rail .... your rockers might be shot, but the rail is kinda like a bracket... remnants of that will likely be left if your side skirts are parallel to the ground... when you see cars with the rocker extension bowwed in the middle, then the whole thing is gonzo...

there is a good chance its rotten too... if you pull at it in a consistent manner it will come free without damaging your extensions.

Yep I could probably fix everything on this 99 I am parting and scrapping but it needs more than yours mater, the rockers are basicly gone, there are rust holes in the body by the tail lights, below the gas door, and the part that did it in for me to not put it back on the road is the sides not the tops mind you but the sides of the rear strut towers.

Good thing pat had the info I wouldn't know.how as I have never taken them.off and they literally have fallen off the two that I have had them off the car
