Riding with 3 stock rims and one aftermarket rim !


Here's the scoop. Driving downtown and hit a pit hole..causing car to jolt into the curb right beside the pothole. cracking both of my driver side rims. Managed to get the car to local gas station to put stockers back on. Rims are beyond repair. I count my blessing no one way hurt.

It suck but im glad I didn't damage the actually car. I was going get different rims anyways within the few months this is just a easy excuse to get them now lol. My stock tires are outdated and have little trend and I drive 45 mins to work everyday on the interstate so I won't be driving it anymore until I get new rims. Gp will be parked for a little lol

Edit: on a side note tires are fine didn't pop or anything so that's one less thing I have to worry bout buying.

Guess you can forget the suspension and just get the rims. Mine are pretty new. Just powder coated and new tires- 255/45/18 F1 asymmetric's

I would be checking control arms, tie rods allinment, a jar that hard could have damaged allot. I would be carful on the tires too. My future brother in law ( I married one sister he is marring the other) didn't do that much damage to the wheel but the tire broke belts.

Tires are 100% fine checked them out today. Car needs alignment. Tie rods are good but ill replace them anyways since im upgrading susp.

Yea that was one of my biggest concerns didn't want to fork over money for tires to. Ill have the car on jackstands in the next few days to really get under there and expect things out.

Kinda reminds me of what I went through when I had my blow out on the front on the highway at the beginning of April and bent one of my MSR's and shredded a tire!! I ended up rolling arround on three 20's and one 18 for like 4-5 weeks... LOL

Although gold dust is precious, when it gets in your eyes, it obstructs your vision.

You can try going after the city for compensation...but I know a guy that did that before as well in Saginaw, MI and they pretty much blew him off...told him that they are not responsible for pot holes...yeah, I know...WTF?! O_o

I'm sorry, but those tires are NOT fine. It may take a while to have them show the problems, and they won't be visible now. But, replace them.
