Not sure what to call this part. Its big plastic piece below the rad, behind the lower fascia. I would like to know if its alright to remove it, during the winter snow builds up on it, if it wasn't there the snow would just fall to the ground. Its held in place by a couple tabs that are already broken from either entering ramps that are too steep or parking over cement curbs.

Mine has been bothering me since the start. One day it just rip out and I just put it to a side. I've been planning on putting it back for a while since it prevents rain from hitting the engine

I could cut it so the part below the engine is still there.

It helps direct air into your radiator. Your car might heat up more without it

understood,

tried to take it off, ran into a problem with push pins being out of reach so put everything back in place, oh well, just live with catching snow like a shovel during the winter

it takes like 4 minutes top to take off . . . just had to pull one of a grand prix that was in a wreck yesterday . . . just make sure you use the right tool. no flat head screwdrivers . . .

As for the heating up...... I run without in order to fit all the piping better, and had no temp issues this summer.

I don't know what the "right tool" would be to get at the push pins that are in a 4" deep hole

if you want to take it off to get rid of the pieces that hang down lower on it, i jus cut off the low hanging pieces with an air buzz saw and plastic soldered it back together so it was all flush and looked right. it came out really good. you cant even tell it was done.

nope thats not the intention, the whole thing comes out to let snow fall to the ground as it collects in there, yes my next option is to cut the space out with jig saw if I can't figure out how to remove those push pins that are located in a 4" deep spot

theres tons of door panel removal tools out there and its been like 2 months ago since I worked on this car. and ive probably fixed some 60 other cars since.

my boss has a set like this but snap on instead http://www.autozone.com/autozone/access ... 89263_0_0_

if I remember right I used the one in the middle or the one to the far left. like I said it been a while so I really dont remember without getting down there. but I can tell you, that if your looking just to get the snow out of there and snap it back up. I did on my boss's gf's car remove just the part that clipped into the cradle itself if I remember right and that how we drained the radiator, which it turned out to not be a bad radiator but a plugged condensor. car had 225,000 miles on but to replace the condensor it all has to come out. and there are different door panel removal tools that yea they work for trim to

I have a set of my own but couldnt find them on here. my boss owns snap on everything but i think the prices are outrageous on alot of there things. so I buy craftsman etc.

its out now, used brute force on those stupid push pin locations that were out of reach. took the car for a test drive and its vibrates badly at 100Km/h for some reason
I'm hoping the wheels are off balance because of the snow that was built up in them from the deep snow around here and only allowed to partially melt while in the garage.

did a second test drive and the vibration is gone SO HAPPY :headbang:

did some more modding this morning, cut up the big plastic piece and now put the two side portions back in place to just protect the areas that they block from getting road spray going in there. there has been a few hours of my time in this little adventure

the led under glow light bar is now visible from the front
