if you want to go spoiler-less you need to get the trunk lid repainted and the holes filled

X2. You should just get a bigger spoiler like an SLP gen 1 or gen 2. The gen 2 is similar to the one in your second pic.

Your paint/clearcoat underneath the spoiler is going to be very dirty because of water run-off as well.

you dont want to run without a spoiler.

these cars have love handles. the spoiler breaks it up.

There is my spoiler remove from my summer car. I was supposed to get SLP knockoff but I got warped spoiler. I return it back and got full refund back. My car was "tape" job by body shop lol

Image

I got daytona 500 trunk lid with spoiler from Ed Moard. Since it is match same color as mine.

No body shop work for "holes"

This is my winter beater old trunk lid. See nasty line and some paint chip itself.

Or you could just buy an SE trunk lid. They did not come with spoilers so no holes to fill in. Just gotta change your lock over...

lol I think 2000-03 SE model have spoiler like mine. 97-99 SE model don't have any spoiler I believe. When I swap the trunk lid. I didn't change the lock but I actually use remote to unlock the trunk. The plug and play are same.

You should do the rubber washer mod tho Mru. I did it on mine an it made a bigg difference with water drainage under the spoiler!

Thanks Kyle I was lookin for that. I also recommend running a bead of clear, or in our case, white silicone on both sides of the washers to prevent any possible leaks. Mines been done for a few months now and I haven had on drop of water in the trunk. Also do the cowl seal and cabin air filter. Someone will find you that write up as well. I suck at looking for that stuff.

Our cars never came with the filter there. Regals and intrigues had them. The part # in the write-up is for a regal filter. I think it will drop right in though.
