I'm not sure if he has aftermarket bumper to put G6 emblem? I know my dad's G6 arrowhead is very huge than mine.

He doesn't have an aftermarket bumper. Actually, silverback said G6, but I am pretty sure when Shadow first told me about it, I think he said G5...

Dude No one buy from Third shift studios. He told me it was 120$ for two arrow heads. Anyone else thinks that's bullshit?

On the Ls1 forums he posted it was 2 for 30$

yeah he told me it was only 30$ for 2 because the old ones were plastic. I bet don_Rome could do the same thing for half the cost.

On a side note Ive been touching up some scratches on my car and I am sad to say the duplicolor's stealth Grey metallic does not match the factory paint at all.

I have one in my bumper from the new GP's 04-06 the chrome ones, it looks really nice. I like it better than the red ones that come in them.

You have a chrome arrow? Where did you get it and how much was it? I have the stock red one on my 06, but if I can find a chrome one I will take that.

Why is that bullshit??? He makes quality items with precision machine work. Don_Rome's stuff is nice, but IMO, no where near as nice as my arrowhead from TSS.

That old price were for the plastic ones, he doesn't make them anymore as the fact that they weren't meshing well with the poly he uses.

Even $70 for one is a good deal. I'd really like to see ANYONE on here make a piece as precise and finished as his and charge anything less.

 Damn it doesn't surprise me about some of the mods around the community now a days, ya'll don't wanna spend $$ on quality!

I agree that its a nice piece. I have been on the ls1 forum for some time and they make quality items. The arrowhead you purchased looks much better than the original one's he was selling. To me I think it's worth the price. I am actually thinking about getting one as well. But I have noticed a lot of younger guys coming on the boards looking for affordable mods and wanting to save some cash. Plus the economy does not help either. Custom parts are not always cheap.

Its a copy so I do not feel comfortable paying 70$ for a g8 replica arrow. He sent me pictures and you can see that they just don't have the edges and curves that the real g8 concept dart has.

here is a link to the ls1 forum thread http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93903

I bet I can find a real one for much less.

Yes, I saw G8 concept few years ago. It looks pretty good in person from car show. Too bad, they are sticking with original arrowhead. You won't able find GM G8 concept. Good luck for find them for cheap price.

Whhhhhat!? Look at the picture I attached to this post, how could you not say they don't have the edges and curves? It may not be an exact replica, but it's in no way near what those plastic ones he was doing.

And I betchya you will NEVER find a real one, because they never existed, no Pontiac has that arrowhead and no pontiac ever will.

Dude, now put that pic you posted next to the REAL g8 concept arrow. They DO NOT look exactly the same. The G8 Concept arrow has much more structure and curves than the one third shift makes.
Just beacuse it was once make from plastic (which it never should have been) does not mean that the metal one should cost 70$.
Its a peice of arrow shaped metal with an indention in the middle. The G8 concept arrow has 4-5 levels, it looks like it must have been made using a 3-D metal cutter. The one from Third shift studios looks as if they used highschool metal shop equipment. Every edge on the Third shift studios version is rounded and its aluminum. I could mabey understand the price if it were chrome, but aluminum semi-decent replica for 70$??????

Mabey I cant find a real concept arrow, but I garuntee I can find someone else who can make a better looking concept arrow for much less.

Everyone whos defending the price is only doing so beacuse they are not looking to buy one. Until you have pictures of one on your car your pretty much proving my point that 70$ for 1 is crazy. if it were worth it more ppl would have purchased them. GM sells the regular stock red arrow for less than 20$ No way I am paying 70$ for a knock off concept arrow. SO shut up or start posting the pictures of your cars with the third shift studios arrows.

That's exactly why you see Jason's car pics posted/re posted and re posted again. All I am saying is that the part is not marketable. If GM would of actually put that emblem in production it would be 20$.

p.s.
I said post pics of YOUR CARS with the 70$ emblem.

I have to agree. It looks off to the left too much. I guess the person to ask would be Jason. Nothing against him, but it could have also been "installer" error when setting the badge in place.

Yes, the arrowhead is a C*nt hair off, yes I could rip it off and reinstall it.........but jesus guys!! LOL, It's the absolute closest I could get it to fit... in hind sight I should have had the emblem sized a bit larger than the cutout so it would sit over it and not in it. I mean it's not like the freaking thing is half way off the bumper, LOL. The only picture you can really tell that the emblem is a bit off is the super close up. Every other picture looks mint.

As for the comments about Third Shift Studios and their work........................Shaka I have to say a lot of what you've said is pretty ridiculous. First off you post that everyone shouldn't buy from them because YOU think they their price is too high....then to say their work is shoddy and done in a "high school" fashion just shows your ignorance in the field of aftermarket CUSTOM parts.

The edges are rounded at MY request... they were originally sharp enough to pierce skin.......and I didn't feel like cutting myself every time I cleaned around this thing so I smoothed them out.

Again, I will reiterate... you find ANYONE who is willing to make ONE custom emblem... that resembles the GM concept more than TSS and is a better quality AND charges less than $70, I will PERSONALLY buy one for myself AND you. That's right I will reimburse you up to $70 (that price from TSS is including shipping BTW) if you find someone that is willing to do it better and cheaper, and doesn't have a minimum gross order.

Ohhhhh, and to your comment about no one else having one..............there is at least ONE more person with one...because I sold him my red one that I ordered along with the aluminum one.

Quote:

Your friend has an aftermarket replacement front bumper cover. All stock GM covers have the inset.

Quote:

LOL, yes Pat, we all know you're not a fan of the little gap...you made it quite clear in my post about the emblem itself ;)

On a side note........... it's a bit concerning that some of the comments being thrown around on this board are starting to resemble what you'd expect on the "other" board. The whole point of Flip and a few others who put this forum together is to get away from the unnecessary and pointless criticisms. Shaka.........buy the fuking emblem, then you can bitch about the quality and fit and blah blah blah blah. Who are you to tell people not to buy from a vendor because YOU are cheap?? I'm sorry folks, but it's getting quite ridiculous. The "don't buy from ZZP" comments based on other people's experiences, and now this.
