Well, while I am waiting for all my gaskets and whatnot to arrive for my lim replacement, I decided to do some painting. Hoping to do the valvecovers tomorrow too with orange and wrinkle black. Does anybody have any experience using vht wrinkle plus paint on a supercharger? I did some looking on the internet and a few people have done it without complaints, but I hope I won't be kicking myself if it starts flaking off right away or something...

Wow, that looks really good. Keep us updated on how it holds up. If it works well I may steal your color scheme but with different colors...

Wonder how that wrinkle paint will look when it gets dirty under hood? Probably collect dirt quicker etc but I may be wrong. Looks very cool though and can 't wait to see pics of it underhood. I'm jelly.

Looks good. Very Unique...if I could of changed anything would of been using standard black paint instead of the crinkle since. The orange is crinkled.

Yeah it will probably get dirtier easier and be harder to clean, hopefully it will motivate me to clean under the hood a bit more

Yeah i had some black barbeque paint too and it was a bit of a toss up, I think i like the way this turned out though, should all tie in once I get the valve covers done today.

Well, I got most of the car back together after the lim job, just gotta get the piping all done on the air intake, put the diagonal brace back on, and get some coolant in there... Hopefully shes running nice and smooth after i finished fixing the exhaust leaks and the leaky lim. Heres a few pictures of the charger back where it belongs.

And heres how I blocked the coolant passages, dimes and rtv...

Yes, I suppose i should run those wires under the snout, the wires used to be the nicer looking thing, but now I guess the blower has a bit more show.

in his case it was because of the gasket he used and didnt want to have issues with the coolent weakining the gasket and blowing out. in my case i put in an intercooler and there is no provision so they got blocked by the i/c core.

and here is the pic of my core after i took it off with the thin layer of rtv i used.

Thanks for that pic, looks like it sealed up pretty good with that black rtv on both sides. Hopefully within the next few months I will be able to piece together an intercooler kit before this gasket stops doin its job, and then I will put the rtv on the gaskets that way.

Honestly, I do not like the two tone.
One solid color would look much nicer in my opinion.
It looks like you left it primer'd too...
