What Smiley said. They're worth the headache and the cash to do them right the first time.

All i did to mine was clean them up with brake cleaner, then used regular primer and paint after eerything was taped off. Been good for 9 months now, and look better than my buddy who did the same thing with caliper paint

Another way of doing it is purchasing remanuf calipers from a place like autozone since they will already be stripped down to its cast iron core and easy to do a quick wipe down and primer and paint. Saving you money from sandblasting and mose have a core so return your old calipers and get the price knocked down. Like the others said. Do it right the first time and it'll turn awesome.

White if your leaving your rims black w/ blk brackets. Blk is your painting the rims white w/ white brackets.

Upgrade to GXP brakes. They're powdercoated. :)

I removed cleaned the calipers and brackets with brake cleaner then scuffed them up a bit. I painted the calipers a lot like 4-5 coats. The brackets I did the same. I haven't had any problems with them chipping. I like having the brackets a different color, some people don't. Just take your time it will turn out nice.

would powder coating be the best though cause my neighbor has a sandblaster and could do it for free and i have heard of a place multiple times that does powder coating somewhat cheap and i am not very good with paint even when on paper paint isn't and probably never will be my thing

i like the idea of the black and white but it seems like it would be a pain to keep them clean and looking good

If you can get them powder coated cheap I would go that route myself.
